Timeline

Business-critical web platform & ongoing support

The Project

Our relationship began with Diamond Facilities Support, the original business that has since become part of the wider COAT Facilities Group. Over more than a decade, we have supported the digital platform used to connect facilities operations with clients and internal teams.

As the business and its requirements evolved, the original portal was replaced with a new web application using more modern technology, coding standards and security practices.

The Challenge

Modernising technology the operation depends on.

The portal is business critical. Clients need visibility of jobs and their status, while operational teams need information to move reliably between the portal and wider facilities-management systems.

The existing platform had served the business for many years, but growth, new functionality and changing technology standards created a need to modernise it without losing the workflows the organisation relied on.

Our Approach

Evolve what works, modernise what needs to change.

Because of the long-standing relationship, we understood the role the portal played in the wider operation. The focus was therefore not simply on rebuilding the interface, but on creating a more robust and secure foundation while expanding functionality for clients and administrators.

The platform was designed to connect with operational systems and reduce the manual effort involved in keeping clients informed.

The Solution

A connected portal for clients and operational teams.

The web application allows clients to view jobs, statuses and notes and integrates with JobWatch to exchange operational information including worksheets, visit sheets and engineer notes.

It also supports automated notifications for job updates, compliance reminders and certificate uploads, alongside purchase-order creation and bulk data import.

Key features: Client job visibility; JobWatch API integration; worksheets and visit sheets; engineer notes; automated email notifications; compliance reminders; certificate uploads; PO creation; bulk data import

The Outcome

Greater transparency with less manual administration.

The portal gives clients clearer visibility of jobs and their progress while improving efficiency behind the scenes. Automation and integration reduce manual work and help operational information move more effectively between teams and systems.

As COAT Facilities Group continues to grow nationally, the platform provides an established digital foundation that can continue to evolve with the operation.

Partnership

A partnership spanning

more than a decade

This is a long-term technology relationship rather than a one-off build. From the original Diamond Facilities Support portal through to the wider COAT Facilities Group environment, continued support and development have allowed the technology to change alongside the business.
