Product strategy, AI development & platform delivery

The Project
Smart Hazards is an emerging construction safety platform focused on using technology to improve how hazards are identified, understood and managed on site.
Our work has involved shaping and developing the product as an AI-enabled platform, bringing together safety workflows, digital reporting and emerging technology in a way that can support practical use within construction environments.
The Challenge
Moving safety management from reactive reporting towards earlier insight.
Construction environments are complex and constantly changing. Fire and site hazards can develop quickly, while traditional processes often depend on people identifying, recording and escalating risks manually.
The challenge is not simply to digitise an existing form. It is to explore where AI can help teams identify risk earlier, surface useful information and support better safety decisions without adding unnecessary complexity for site users.
Our Approach
Starting with the safety problem, then applying AI where it adds value.
The work combines product strategy, platform development and AI experimentation. Rather than treating AI as the product itself, the focus is on specific safety use cases and how intelligent technology can support the people responsible for managing them.
Development is being shaped around an MVP approach so the highest-value functionality can be tested and refined before the platform expands.
The Solution
An AI-enabled platform for smarter hazard management.
The platform is being developed to support the identification, prevention and management of construction hazards, with an initial focus that includes fire prevention and detection use cases.
The product brings together digital safety workflows with AI capabilities intended to make hazard information more useful, accessible and actionable for construction teams.
Key features: AI-assisted hazard identification; fire prevention and detection use cases; digital safety workflows; structured hazard information; platform designed for future expansion
The Outcome
Building the foundations for a more intelligent approach to site safety.
Smart Hazards is an innovation project in development, so the launch case study should focus on the problem being addressed and the product being created rather than claim outcomes that have not yet been measured.
The current work is establishing an MVP foundation that can be demonstrated, tested and evolved with the construction sector.
